The post-processor can automatically
create load combinations in accordance with specified design
standards. You may conveniently specify additional load combinations
or modify existing combinations.
Member forces for weak and strong axes can be viewed simultaneously
in Beam Diagram. Changing Type
of Display can produce various forms of Graphic Output
for examining reactions, displacements, member forces and
stresses.
Using the Mirrored function,
the results of the entire model can be produced based on the
analysis results of a 1/2 or 1/4 model.
Practically all the results can be animated,
namely, mode shapes, time history results of displacements
and member forces, dynamic analysis results and static analysis
results. Batch Output Generation
offers capability to consecutively construct and produce specific
Graphical Output for a number of load conditions.

Cutting Diagram
IsoSurface
Using the Cutting
Diagram function, member forces and stresses can be obtained
along the specified section line or surface.
Iso Surface, on the other hand, identifies the surfaces
of equal stresses in solid elements. Top and Bottom stresses
of plate elements can be simultaneously displayed as well.

Detail analysis of a cable anchor modeled with plate elements.
The stress contour shows the stresses at the top and bottom
of the plate elements simultaneously.
Midas/Gen does not stop at simply
showing the analysis results.
It is capable of producing high quality results of additional
detail analyses and re-analyses for the purpose of design. Among
others, a few cases are outlined herein. Detail forces and stresses
in beam members resulting from detail analyses of individual
elements can be verified in Beam Detail
Analysis. Local Direction Force Sum combines the nodal
forces of plate or solid elements and calculates the member
forces at specified positions.

Table Results
MIDAS/Gen also provides results in
the Excel format, which enables us to check and analyze all
the analysis and design results systematically.
Results are produced by using the Wizard type dialog boxes
step by step. Different load combinations can be specified
to different results such as reactions, displacements, member
forces, etc. Moreover, MIDAS/Gen provides powerful Selection,
Filtering and Envelope functions for us to tailor
the result output as we wish.
Convenient features
of checking results in table formats
Spread sheets provided for all analysis
and design results (displacements, member forces, stresses,
reactions, vibration modes, buckling modes, other analysis
and design checking results, etc.)
Powerful filtering in conjunction with various
selection functions
Various Sorting functions
(Multiple ascending/descending sort in the order of priority
in attributes)
Various Editing function (Add, Modify, Group
Copy, Replace, Search, etc.)
Copy & Paste using Clipboard
Interface with other software such as MS-Excel,
etc.
