MIDAS/Civil provides the Construction Stage Analysis feature, which allows Creation and Deletion of elements with varying maturities, Change in Boundary conditions and Change in Loadings. It is capable of carrying out analysis reflecting Erection/Dismantlement of temporary structures, Long span bridge analysis such as Suspension/Cable stayed bridges, Construction stage analysis of PSC Box bridges reflecting temporary structures and Heat of Hydration analysis based on concrete pour sequence.

  Construction Stage Input
  • Define each Stage based on sequential structural changes reflecting creation/deletion of members, varying boundary conditions, etc.

  • Define timing steps (T-step) representing the timing of loading and unloading specific load cases within a given construction stage, without any change in structure.

Generation of Construction Stages by simply specifying duration. Defined construction stages may be selectively deleted, and new stages may be inserted.

Generation of Construction Stages by simple activation or deactivation of Element groups, Loading groups and Boundary condition groups

Stage Tree
  • Provision of Stage Tree for systematic recognition of entire construction stages.
  • Contents of a specific construction stage may be readily modified.
  • Defined construction stages may be deleted, or new stages may be inserted.
  • Order of defined construction stages may be revised.

Real time display depicting the change of structure and loading condition for a specific construction stage relative to Stage Tree

  • Works Tree allows you to systematically check and revise the structure and loading condition of a given construction stage.
