Gregor Wollmann has more than 25 years of experience in the design, construction, and retrofit of complex and long span bridges.

Biography

Gregor Wollmann has more than 25 years of experience in the design, construction, and retrofit of complex and long span bridges. He was involved in all phases of design and construction of the Blennerhassett Island Bridge over the Ohio River near Parkersburg, WV, currently the world’s longest-span network tied arch bridge. Dr. Wollmann served on the review panel for NHI/FHWA project “Design Criteria for Long Span Bridges” and is recipient of ASCE’s 2003 Arthur M. Wellington Prize for his paper on the preliminary analysis of suspension bridges.  He  holds  degrees in structural engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and from the Vienna University of Technology in Austria.
