Manager, ASDEA, Italy

Coordination of Design and Implementation of Civil Works

Guido Camata had experienced academic and research in various disciplines and has worked and traveled in many countries. In 1997 he studied at the University of Limerick, Ireland. In 1999 he was ISIS Canada (Intelligence Sensing for Innovative Structures), at the University of Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada), where he had the opportunity to work in a research environment among the most advanced in the world in the field of composite materials applied to civil engineering and was exposed to many projects including the development of fiber optic sensors. In 2003 he obtained his PhD in structural engineering (Ph.D. in structural engineering) at the University of Colorado, USA. From 2003 to 2004 he worked as a researcher (Professional Research Assistant) at the University of Colorado.

His research experience includes both experimental work and numerical. Over the years he worked on several research topics including fracture mechanics, reinforcement of existing structures with composite materials, composite materials for the construction of bridges, finite elements and applied to the stochastic behavior of composite materials.

Currently Guido Camata is a researcher at the University of Chieti - Pescara. E 'was supervisor of several master thesis and doctoral degrees. Mainly is working on modeling and analysis of nonlinear dynamics of bridges and structures in reinforced concrete and masonry, and was also involved in the analysis and evaluation of structural monuments.

As documented, the results of these activities are all exposed in several international publications. The papers published in the nature of originality and emphasized on the research topics that are still poorly investigated.

And 'referee of several international journals and has been teaching courses in master's and doctoral degrees at universities Italian and foreign companies.
